The Harbor Freights’ freight tracking app is now available to anyone on Android and iOS, and the service can now help you track and track your freight in the same way you use a smartphone to locate the exact spot where a shipment will land.
Hear more about the latest in maritime shipping and cargo, including the new Coast Guard-approved port of San Francisco, in our exclusive podcast episode.
In addition, the app can be used to track any cargo coming in or out of ports.
“When you’re going to be shipping a lot of stuff in one container, and there’s no way you’re ever going to ship all that cargo on a single container,” said Andrew Kinsley, CEO of Harbor Freighters.
“So you need to have a system in place that can sort of identify that container, get a sense of what cargo is going to get through that container and then figure out how much cargo is coming through that particular container and how much of that cargo is actually going to the actual port.”
Hear about how Harbor Freighter ships are moving through the Bay Area during the holiday season and beyond.
