A shipwreck off the coast of New York is now the focus of a major investigation by the U.S. Coast Guard and other federal agencies.
The Coast Guard says the vessel was off the east coast of Long Island and was anchored off the north end of the island when it ran aground in the Hudson on Tuesday.
It’s not yet known how many people are on board.
The New York Times reports the Coast Guard is looking into the cause of the collision and says the incident has left some passengers stranded.
The Times says the crew of the vessel has been notified.
