Harbor Freight has a new winning formula.
The company announced Thursday that it has won the right to operate freight-hauling ships from coast to coast and from shipyard to shipyard for the first time in more than 100 years.
In a conference call with reporters, the company announced that it will operate vessels from Portland, Oregon to Baltimore and back.
The new vessels will be called Harbors, after a port in Portland where the company is based.
In addition to the shipping lines, the new harbors will be able to carry a variety of cargo.
The winches will also be able control other vessels and make sure they do not collide.
The Harbors are the result of an ongoing study by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that the company hopes will help the industry reduce the number of lost harbors.
Harbors will also include a terminal for cargo, as well as a new ship-to-ship transfer center and the first-ever container ship transfer service, which will connect the ships to port at a dock in Portland.
Harbor Freights CEO Brian J. Kibbe said the new vessels, which the company says are the first in the industry, will be the first of their kind in more more than a century.
“I don’t think there’s ever been anything like this,” Kibbesaid.
“We’re excited to have this opportunity and to make this possible.”
The company is also making a big investment in its workforce.
The announcement comes after months of layoffs and other downsizing.
The workforce is now about 30 percent smaller than it was when the company started in the 1970s, but it’s still about twice as large as it was at the end of the Great Recession, according to the company.
The number of jobs has been cut from about 600 to around 700, and the company said it is looking for more people to work on the projects, which have been the most expensive in the history of the shipbuilding industry.
HarborFreight’s success is a big step forward for the industry.
It has a huge customer base and the majority of its ships are used by big corporations.
But it’s not a large part of the industry as a whole.
For the past year, the industry has been undergoing a massive shift, and its customers are trying to find new ways to make money from their ships.
“The sea is changing,” Kribbe said.
“There are new ways of making money.
I think the industry needs to take notice.”
